Crash of Lancaster Bomber

On the 4th/5th January 1943, Lancaster bomber W4796 of 101 Squadron crashed killing all 7 crew members.  They have no known graves.

Flight Lieutenant  John D Brodie, who is commemorated on the War Memorial in Strathbrock Church, was one of the crew on the fateful flight.
