Broxburn Community Council
Broxburn Community Council could be forced to fold, if more new members don't come forward. The community council is down to two of the members originally elected in 2017 and one co-opted member.
In a bid to keep the community council operating, an interim election will take place. There is a maximum of 16 places available on Broxburn Community Council. As long as no more than 16 nominations are received, a contested election will not be required. All candidates will simply be elected to serve until October 2021 when the next 4-yearly elections take place.
The closing date for nominations to be returned is Thursday 14 March at 5pm. Further information and a nomination form can be downloaded from the council's website http://www.westlothian.gov.uk/communitycouncils
