The Holiday Club at Strathbrock Church Hall starts on August 6th and ends on August 10th. It runs from 10.00am to midday and is for P1 to P7 children.

A concert by the Westminster Church Choir of Dayton, Ohio will be held at Uphall South Parish Church on Friday 6th July at 7.30pm. The tickets cost £5 (£4 concessions) and are available at the door on the night.

A special Brown Bin uplift (garden waste only) by West Lothian Council will take place on Saturday 17 March. Bins should be put out by 6am on the morning of uplift.
At the Fairtrade Event which was held on Saturday 10th March in Uphall Community Centre at 2.00pm, Uphall was officially declared a Fairtrade Village, the first village in West Lothian. The certificate was presented by Veronica Pasteur, Campaign Officer at Fairtrade Foundation, London. Jim Devine MP and Bristow Muldoon MSP attended the event.
Bristow Muldoon MSP gave a talk about how the Scottish Parliament supports Fairtrade and is working towards Scotland becoming a Fairtrade nation. West Lothian Youth Theatre performed a Fairtrade Drama which highlighted problems that workers face in developing countries. Veronica Pasteur gave a presentation about the aims of Fairtrade and how it benefits farmers and their families. Fairtrade products (food and craft goods ) were on sale at the Fairtrade stalls. A buffet, with all the Fairtrade foods, wine and juice donated by Scotmid, finished off the afternoon.
West Lothian Youth Theatre will be holding a performance about Fairtrade at Uphall Community Centre from 2pm on Saturday 10 March 2007. The event is part of an afternoon of activities arranged by Uphall Fairtrade Steering Group to mark Fairtrade Fortnight. Tickets are priced at £1.50 (which includes refreshments).
